The last few weeks have absolutely flown by so I’ll try to catch up with everything that’s been happening!  After a lovely holiday in Italy it was back to Bristol airport last week just over 24 hours later to fly up to Edinburgh for Bhavani and James’ wedding  in Edinburgh (I am normally not quite that quick off the mark to unpack and get the washing machine on after a holiday but I am now a firm convert to the blizz everything in 24 hours approach!).  I am also just getting over a minor back operation which has slowed me down a bit this past week – all fine now but a bit of a backlog of posts!

Bhavani and James had an amazing eclectic mixture of Hindu and Scottish elements for their wedding and I took so many photographs I am going to blog their wedding in 2 – 3 separate posts – the first one coming up very soon!

Also coming up are baby Daisy’s portrait session and Simon and Emily’s pre-wedding shoot in Bristol – so watch this space!

For any couples wanting to arrange a wedding with a real emphasis on yummy food, why not pop along to the wedding fayre at the Wheatsheaf in Coombe Hay, just outside Bath tomorrow. A favourite of mine, the Wheatsheaf is a great venue for food and wine lovers as it has won a number of awards and is also in a stunning country setting yet close to Bath.

I have been lucky enough to have spent the last month on a real adventure travelling across South Africa. I didn’t realise quite how beautiful the country is and it was a real pleasure to take in the fantastic scenery; from the heights of Table Mountain in Cape Town, through the Winelands, along the famous garden route and all the way to the stunning mountain ranges inland and the truly amazing Kruger National Park in the North.

I am in the process of using some of the images from my trip to make a calendar which will go on sale later in the year in aid of a fantastic childrens’ charity which offers accomodation, medical care and community support for South African children, including those orphaned by Aids (http://www.soschildrensvillages.org.uk/sponsor-a-child/africa/south-africa).
